When Tatiana made the life-changing move to the U.S. in 2007, she was confronted with the difficult task of learning a new language, English. She enrolled in an English for Adults school, a decision that would shape her academic and professional future. This essential experience paved the way for her studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 2015. Fueled by her passion for language learning and education, she continued to expand her knowledge through professional courses, improving her expertise in second-language acquisition.
Following her graduation, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a teacher in the Russian Immersion Program at a middle school. Here, she played a significant role in curriculum development and the establishment of student exchange programs, initiatives that continue to enrich the educational experience. In 2020, she seized a new opportunity in Florida, taking on the roles of Executive Assistant and Curriculum Developer at Project Light Language School. In addition to providing crucial support to the schoolteachers in curriculum planning and resource management, she also ensures seamless technology integration as the on-site IT person, fostering a conducive learning environment for both teachers and students.
At Project Light Language School, she enjoys working closely with teachers and supporting them in all aspects of classroom instruction. Whether it’s printing materials, troubleshooting technology, navigating the curriculum, or celebrating student successes, she is always happy to help. She also oversees students’ learning on online platforms, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed. Having been in their shoes, she deeply empathizes with the challenges and rewards of adapting to a new country. Just as her English for Adults school helped shape her future, Project Light Language School will empower its students to build bright new beginnings in the U.S.
