Project Light is a volunteer nonprofit dedicated to providing free adult English language and literacy instruction to empower students with the skills and tools they need to more fully participate in, and contribute to the community.

Providing adult education services in Manatee County, our aim is to equip students with the confidence and skills to access opportunities for job/career mobility, assist their children with academic achievement, better advocate for their families’ health needs, and help build a stronger, more vital community, overall.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)


Mon - Fri: 9:00 - 11:15 am

Tues and Thur: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

We offer 4 levels of ESOL (Low-Beginning, Upper-Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced) in the morning on Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur, Fri;  and
2 levels (Beginning and Intermediate) in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday.

We are always in need of

olunteer Teachers!  

                                                  Training is provided and we use textbooks.
